Privacy Policy
What personal data we collect through atami.pt and when you contact us, why we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising trackers.

1 Who we are
ATAMI DEVELOPMENT, LDA (NIPC 518088464), Edifício Lacs, Rua Azevedo Coutinho, 39, 4100-100 Porto, Portugal, is the controller of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the law does not require one for a company of our size. For any question about your data, write to info@atami.pt.
2 What we collect and why
When you visit the site
- What
- IP address, date and time of the visit, the page requested, browser and operating system, the page you came from. Our hosting provider records this automatically in its server logs.
- Why
- To deliver the pages, keep the site secure and find technical errors.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long
- Deleted automatically, no later than 12 months after the visit.
Visit statistics
- What
- Number of visits, pages viewed, country, device type, the site or link you came from, and clicks on the WhatsApp button. We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not store your IP address. To count unique visitors it uses a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
- Why
- To understand which pages people read and how they find us.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in improving the site (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long
- Only totals are kept, for as long as we use the service. They do not identify anyone.
When you message, call or email us
- What
- Your name, phone number or email address, your messages, and anything else you choose to tell us, such as which home interests you, your budget or your timing.
- Why
- To answer you, send the information you asked for, and arrange calls and visits.
- Legal basis
- Steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(b)). Later follow-up messages about the same project: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can ask us to stop at any time.
- How long
- Up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you reserve or buy a home.
If you reserve or buy a home
- What
- The identification, tax and payment details needed for the reservation, the promissory contract and the deed, and for the anti-money-laundering checks that Portuguese law requires of real estate companies.
- Why
- To prepare and carry out the contract and to meet our legal duties.
- Legal basis
- Performance of a contract (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- How long
- For the periods set by Portuguese law, for example the rules on accounting, tax and the prevention of money laundering. We give you more detail at that stage.
4 Transfers outside the EU
Our hosting and statistics providers process data within the European Union. Google, which provides our email, may process data in its data centres outside the EU, including in the United States. It does so under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If you contact us on WhatsApp, Meta may also transfer data outside the EU, under the safeguards described in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
6 Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- limit how we use it;
- stop using it, including for follow-up messages;
- send the data you gave us to you or to another company in a common format.
Write to info@atami.pt or to our postal address. We reply within one month. In complex cases the law allows two more months, and we will tell you if we need them. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
7 How we protect your data
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only the people who handle sales at Atami read your messages, and our providers are bound by confidentiality. We make no automated decisions about you and do not build profiles.
8 Children
The site is meant for adults buying a home. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9 Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, for example if we start advertising, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
